Although Amanda has lived and traveled throughout a variety of states, Amanda is a born and raised New Englander currently residing in Portland ME. Her passion for nutrition, physical fitness and overall well-being began at an early age when she fell in love with gymnastics. Declining a full-time travel team position per her parents best judgment, Amanda then found joy in a variety of sports ranging from basketball, softball, and cheerleading throughout her adolescence.

Nutrition became an interest albeit obsession, beginning in high school when Amanda learned first-hand how food can properly, or improperly, fuel ones body. In search of a way to positively impact others while acknowledging the mind-body connection, Amanda sought a career in Dietetics, well-knowing the additional challenges and certifications that lay ahead.

Amanda was matched and placed with the Dietetic Internship at the University of Virginia Health System where she was immersed in every angle of nutrition including clinical, community, private practice and food service settings.

After completing her Dietetic Internship, obtaining her RDN and CDCES credentials and working in both the clinical outpatient, inpatient as well as training and education settings Amanda’s career has always evolved around helping others reach their health goals. Amanda is extremely supportive and understanding in nature, and prides herself on utilizing a patient-centered approach to nutrition and well-being.
