she/her/hers

Born and raised in Portland Sarah, a graduate of Portland High School has a BS in Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and a PhD in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology & Biochemistry from Boston University where she studied genes related to muscle and heart development. After spending over 10 years working in Biotechnology in the San Francisco area, she made her way back to Maine and started to think about the next chapter in her life. Sarah has always been into fitness, you name it, she’s probably participated in the sport. But it wasn’t until she came back to Maine that after all those years of physical activity and competing, her technique wasn’t doing well by her body type — and she set out to change that. Working with Andrew Blais, Form Lab’s Head Coach, she learned to fine-tune her form so that she could continue to be active — free from injury — for years to come.

Meeting Andrew was a tipping point for Sarah that made her realize that most people she knew were training, but not really focusing on how proper technique and form optimizes results. Not only that, but in Andrew, she saw a coach who connected with everyone in a truly caring and personalized way.  Once Andrew was training her whole family, including both of her parents, Sarah and her husband Eric decided to take the step and open The Form Lab with Andrew to help others achieve their fitness goals safely and efficiently.
